About Me

Katherine Wald is a licensed psychotherapist, certified EMDR therapist, and ADHD coach in private practice in Florida and North Carolina. She earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Georgetown University and her master’s degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. Katherine is a certified clinical supervisor and has been in practice for 20 years. She is trained in multiple modalities, including: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), clinical hypnosis, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), psychodrama based experiential work, art and play therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction, meditation, and emotional freedom technique (EFT). She offers telepsychology for sessions over a secure HIPAA compliant video platform. In addition to her work in private practice, Katherine co-founded and is the director of the nonprofit organization, Inspire Transformation (IT). Through her work with IT, Katherine provided therapy to gender-based violence survivors and trained women in rural South Africa and Namibia on how to counsel survivors in their communities. As a therapist who specializes in trauma, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dissociative disorders, chronic illness, and anxiety disorders, Katherine bears witness to the power of healing on a daily basis.
