About Me

Kathleen is a compassionate and highly skilled Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisor Endorsement (LISW-S) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a Gambling Endorsement (LICDC-GAMB). She is also EMDR-trained, bringing a wealth of expertise to her practice. Kathleen began her journey in social work at Youngstown State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on mental health, and later pursued her passion for helping others by obtaining a Master of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University, specializing in Mental Health and Addiction. Kathleen believes in treating the whole person, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs. She integrates evidence-based practices such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and IFS-Informed EMDR Therapy, which blends Internal Family Systems (IFS) with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). With a warm and client-centered approach, Kathleen specializes in supporting adults navigating mental health challenges, addiction, grief, and trauma recovery. Her dedication to fostering resilience and growth in her clients shines through in every interaction, making her a trusted partner in their healing journey.
