About Me

My name is Kathrina Cann, and I am the founder and owner of Nourished Minds Therapy and Consulting. My approach to therapy utilizes a variety of evidenced based integrative approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, ACT, DBT, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to ensure my clients are receiving the best care suited to their needs. A recovering perfectionist myself, I tend to connect well with clients who are trying to be it all, do it all, (or wishing they were doing more) and yet feel suffocated on the inside. In my practice, I provide psychological education to help give you perspective about how patterns of thinking, relating, feeling, and behaving may be benefiting you or limiting you from reaching your goals. I combine this with mindfulness, HAES aligned and trauma informed strategies to ensure you have the space and safety needed to get to the roots of your stress or emotional wounds and find healing. Helping my clients walk away from sessions with greater clarity of who they are, where they want to go, and how to get there is my passion!

Education & Experience

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist, and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, with over 12 years of experience supporting youth, and adults on their therapeutic journeys. I have a special passion for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, disordered eating, self-esteem, and depression. I have worked in school settings, community mental health, and private practice. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master's in School Counseling from the University of Central Florida.
