About Me
My approach to therapy is warm, direct, and collaborative. While I offer talk therapy in addition to EMDR, I find that EMDR has been an incredibly helpful addition to my practice for many of my clients. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Certified Eating Specialist. I have over 10 years of experience working with eating disorders and disordered eating, as well as working with individuals who are elite athletes and/or fitness competitors struggling with their relationship with food and their body. Additionally, I work with individuals who have a history of medical trauma, sports injuries, and relational trauma from toxic relationships.
Education & Experience
I have two BA degrees from Southern Methodist University, and earned my masters degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of North Texas. I began my career working in an eating disorder treatment center, where I eventually became a Team Leader. I transitioned into private practice in 2014, and became an LPC Supervisor in 2016. I completed my EMDR training in 2018, and have been effectively using this modality with clients for 5 years.
