About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado with over 17 years of experience in a variety of counseling settings. I believe that creating a safe and non-judgemental environment for therapy is essential in healing.
I grew up finding myself deeply curious and observant of myself those around me. I love to ask questions, hear people’s stories, and dig deep on existential topics.
I believe that as a therapist, it is so important to practice what you preach. I have been on my own therapeutic and healing journey for years and I believe in continuing to grow alongside my clients. In fact, I find that I learn the most about resilience, authenticity and growth when clients give me the honor of showing up fully and vulnerably in the therapy room.
I aim to help my clients work towards the delicate balance of accepting yourself as you are without judgement while at the same time working towards the changes you want to see.
I approach therapy with a strong foundation in attachment and a trauma informed background. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the therapy experience, so I aim to show up as fully human. I deeply value honesty and feedback to make sure your needs are being met.
When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, you can find me outdoors as much as possible. I love spending time with my husband and two school-aged children, hiking, skiing, reading and practicing yoga.
Education & Experience
I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver in 2009. After having my first child in 2015, I studied perinatal mental health with Postpartum Support International. My personal journey as a parent and work with expectant and new parents led me to an increased understanding of the importance of early attachment. My attachment lens led me to additional trainings on attachment including EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), a parts work model that helps clients cultivate greater harmony and connection with all aspects of themselves. I’m also deeply passionate about somatic integration and ground my work not just in building insight but also in body-based approaches that support nervous system regulation, embodiment, and trauma healing.
