About Me
Kellye Woods is a Registered Social Worker offering psychotherapy and counselling. She primarily utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) in her practice. She has specializations in anxiety, depression, stress management, self-development, addictions, anger management, insomnia, loss and/or grief, relationship concerns, school or work related difficulties, self-esteem concerns, trauma, and mindfulness. She strives to ensure that her clients are receiving the most appropriate and personalized care to meet their unique needs. She believes her single most important contribution to her clients is offering a vision for change which can guide them to a more harmonious life.
Education & Experience
Her previous work experiences in multiple clinic and hospital settings include the Greenbelt Family Health Team, The Bruyere Academic Family Health Team, The Scarborough Academic Family Health Team, The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Hospital, Family Services Windsor Essex County, T.A. Patterson Addiction Services and North York Addiction Services. She acquired her Masters in Social Work degree from Laurentian University and her Masters in Counselling degree from the University of Ottawa. She completed her undergrad in Honours Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Additionally, she has attained her certificate in Couple and Family Therapy.
