About Me

My name is Kendra, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania. My counseling style is goal-oriented, dynamic, and fosters a safe, non-judgmental space for exploring thoughts and feelings. Together, we will explore and utilize your innate strengths, as well as identify and reprocess unhelpful beliefs, fears, and emotionally charged memories that may be keeping you stuck. In our sessions, we'll delve into the complex aspects of your experiences. This won't be a passive journey; instead, your goals will be actively pursued. I'll assist you in identifying and addressing the unique challenges that get in the way of growth and change. I will provide you with therapeutic tools and skills that you can utilize to work toward making the social, emotional, and behavioral improvements that you desire. I understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and my approach is tailored to meet your specific needs. My goal is to help you cultivate long-lasting resilience and well-being.

Education & Experience

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Waynesburg University. I am an EMDR Certified Therapist and completed Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy training at the Institute for Creative Mindfulness, an EMDRA approved program. My experience in mental health and substance use counseling spans across different levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient settings. This broad range of experience has helped me to learn and utilize a diverse range of integrated, evidence-based modalities to fit the needs of each client.
