About Me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania. I will help you explore and utilize your strengths, and will strive to provide you with fundamental tools and skills to help you address the barriers that are getting in the way of growth and change. I conceptualize each client through a trauma-focused and culturally aware lens and use an active and nonjudgmental approach to counseling. I am committed to meeting you where you are, and helping you work toward your goals. You are the expert on you.
Education & Experience
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Arts in Counseling with an advanced specialty in addictions from Waynesburg University. I completed Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy training at the Institute for Creative Mindfulness and am an EMDR Certified Therapist. My experience in mental health and substance use counseling spans across different levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient settings. This broad range of experience has helped me to learn and utilize a diverse range of integrated, evidence-based modalities to fit the needs of each client.
