Education & Experience

I graduated from Drake University with an MS in Community Counseling and have practiced EMDR therapy since 2009, became an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in 2014, and in 2017 began an exciting journey as an EMDR trainer with Roy Kiessling of EMDR Consulting. One of the most rewarding parts of my professional work is supporting and coaching clinicians as they develop confidence, competence, and their own clinical wisdom in the practice of EMDR therapy.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing single-incident trauma as well as complex, developmental, and cumulative trauma and other painful life experiences that can significantly affect relationships, emotional well-being, and day-to-day functioning. My clinical work is grounded in a developmental and attachment-informed perspective, and I work with individuals, children and adolescents, couples, and families.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of witnessing the remarkable resiliency that can emerge when people feel supported in understanding their experiences and become actively engaged in their own healing and process of change. It is one of the greatest blessings of this work to walk alongside both clients and clinicians as they grow, heal, and discover what is possible.
