About Me
Kirsten has been supporting adults, teens, and children in BC and Alberta for fifteen years. She provides therapy to individual clients and couples. Kirsten works with clients across the lifespan with diverse sexual and gender identities. Kirsten strives to create an open, safe and non-judgmental environment for all of her clients in which to explore their thoughts, feelings, and needs. Her therapeutic style is warm, accepting, collaborative, and inclusive. Kirsten has specialized training in counselling clients of all ages impacted by trauma, sexualized violence, childhood abuse, and domestic violence. Kirsten also has extensive experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, PTSD, compassion fatigue, low self-esteem, relationship and family issues, chronic or sudden illness or disability, or experiencing feelings of being ‘stuck’ or ‘lost’ in their lives. Kirsten is a Certified Grief Counselling Specialist and is skilled in supporting adults, teens, and children in processing their grief, including when grief is traumatic or complex, and developing coping skills.
