About Me

Kristen Dempsey sees clients primarily on the Space Coast of Florida but available for virtual appointments as well. After graduating with a BS in Psychology from UCF she obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from The Florida State University. Her goal in becoming a psychotherapist was to help others to heal. She has worked in many different mental health settings to include home therapy with children in foster care, placement coordination for geriatric clients, working with the severely mentally ill, and supervising a program serving at risk youth. Her most rewarding work has been treating people who have experienced trauma no matter how big or small. Kristen has advanced education in trauma work to include EMDR training and certification. She is a self-proclaimed workaholic, but when she practices what she preaches and engages in self-care, she enjoys laughing with friends, coffee, and sharing human moments.
