Preferred Name: Kristen
About Me
I have over fourteen years of clinical experience and I specialize in therapy for complex trauma, anxiety, relationship problems and attachment, and dissociation. I have an office in Encinitas where I provide in-person therapy to adolescents, adults, and folks in relationships. I provide virtual therapy throughout California.
I specialize in working with deep-thinking, over-functioning individuals including medical professionals, people in science/tech, and creatives, who often appear to be doing perfectly fine on the surface but could benefit from support managing stress, working through perfectionism, trauma reprocessing, and/or with support connecting with themselves and others.
One of the reasons I became a therapist is because of my own recovery, which has allowed me to find joy and a sense of meaning and purpose in life. When I’m not parenting my two children or working, I enjoy reading, creative writing, and being outside. I make an effort to do something that brings me joy every day- even if it’s just by searching the night sky for the moon or talking to a friend on the phone.
