About Me
Laura is a National Board Certified Counselor practicing in East Lansing, MI and online. She specializes in the treatment of traumas of many types and was trained in Somatic and Attachment Focused (SAFE) EMDR in 2022. She incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed practices in many sessions. She earned her Therapeutic Game Master training from Geek Therapeutics. Her main focus in the session is on you and your story, being with you on your journey toward wellness. Most of all, Laura wants you to know that the therapy is yours, your time to learn about yourself. She loves being there to guide and support those who are dedicated to setting aside time for themselves each week, whether they want to build their coping skills or uncover the root of current mental health and wellbeing challenges. Laura particularly walks alongside LGBTQIA+ folx, teens and young adults who find the pressures of moving into the next phase of life very overwhelming, and individuals wanting to figure out why their relationships feel stuck. Her passion lies in helping uproot the underlying stuck-ness that you have tried to soothe or use coping skills to get rid of, and it’s just still there.
