About Me

I graduated from California Lutheran University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2006. I was a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor from 2001 to 2021. I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, as well as an EMDR Consultant-in-Training for The Institute for Creative Mindfulness under the direction of Dr Stephen Dansiger, and a Program Clinician for the NFL Substance Abuse Program. I have over 20 years experience in the mental health industry working with co-occurring disorders in residential treatment since 1995. I have experience working as an addictions treatment counselor, group facilitator, sober companion, consultant, and therapist. Currently, I have been in Private Practice since 2011 in Malibu and Agoura Hills. I specialize in working with high profile clients such as politicians, professional athletes, musicians, and actors.I have extensive experience working with high acuity clients with substance use disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, borderline disorder, and complex trauma. I integrate a mindfulness - based approach with EMDR Therapy. I began teaching mindfulness in 1996 where she incorporated breathing, movement, guided visualization and meditation in groups at residential treatment facilities in Malibu, CA. I currently studies Tai’ Chi Chu’an and Chi Gong. My mission is to help people to improve the quality of their relationships, to live their passion, and to increase their overall enjoyment of life through self awareness, awareness of others, and to feel a sense of purpose.
