About Me

Leona Kashersky, Psy.D., Licensed Psychologist Dr. Leona Kashersky has been deeply committed to trauma therapy since obtaining her Doctorate in Psychology in 2004 and becoming licensed in 2005. Her passion for treating trauma led her to embark on a journey of continuous learning and growth. Currently in training, Dr. Kashersky is on track to obtain both certification and consultation verification through EMDRIA, with an estimated completion date of November 2024. Driven by her personal experiences growing up in an emergency foster family and serving as a big sister to two adoptive brothers, Dr. Kashersky developed a profound interest in supporting individuals through their struggles with trauma. She has dedicated herself to integrating EMDR with other trauma-informed therapies, such as somatic therapies, art, yoga, dance, Gottman method for couples, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), among others. Dr. Kashersky's pursuit of consultant verification stems from her strong desire to be a better consultant and teacher to her students and clinical staff. She believes that by enhancing her skills and knowledge, she can provide even greater clinical excellence to all the patients treated under her leadership. Her commitment to professional growth and her dedication to healing make her a pivotal figure in the trauma therapy community. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kashersky actively engages in training graduate students in clinical practice through various universities, furthering her mission to share her expertise and mentor future professionals.
