((She, her))
About Me
I work with individuals and couples who find themselves at a crossroads in their lives and relationships and are ready for change. With deep listening and active questioning, I help untangle the negative patterns and behaviors that hold people back so they can move forward more fluidly with happiness and confidence. A curious and empathetic therapist, I create a safe, no-pressure approach where people can slow down and relax and where I can focus entirely on what my clients are saying and how they feel.
Education & Experience
In private practice since 1986, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I have been certified as an Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) and supervisor since 2012 and am a member of the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). I have also been a certified Gottman Method Couples Therapist since 2007 and a Gottman Institute member, and I am certified in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
A former board member of the Houston Group Psychotherapy Society, a member of the Houston Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (HAMFT), and a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), I founded the Houston Community for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (HCEFT) in 2016. I served as the director for over two years.
