Linda N. Bakely works with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders from traumas. Linda utilizes modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT). Linda’s critical thinking, client-centered nature, and eagerness to learn contribute to her strengths and proficiency in building relationships with others through trust and understanding. Linda personally enjoys reading, being creative, any outdoor activities incorporating water or mountains, traveling, and time with family and friends.

Education & Experience

Linda N. Bakely is completing a Doctorate of Social Work (DSW) at Tulane University, after completing her Post Master’s Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University, and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English from Rowan University. The doctorate degree allows Linda to further her career through research in trauma therapy and to broaden her expertise in practice and leadership within her profession. Since 2009, she has worked in numerous therapeutic capacities, including substance- use treatment facilities, family-based mental health services, child advocacy centers, programs for children at-risk, and teaching children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Her current work incorporates certifications and trainings in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Informed, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT).
