About Me
Hi! I am Lindsey, and I am a trauma therapist that specializes in working with people who have experienced reproductive trauma, including infertility, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I consider myself trauma-responsive, culturally humble, anti-racist and humanistic therapist.
Education & Experience
I graduated with a Masters of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2011, was licensed as an Associate-level Counselor in Arizona in 2012. I worked in community mental health settings, including outpatient and acute hospitalization, as well as outpatient private practice general counseling and trauma therapy. I've also volunteered and facilitated peer support and life skills, expressive arts, and grief groups. I started my work specializing in working with children and adolescents who've experienced trauma, and found myself looking for the earliest developmental stage where I could intervene, as well as the therapeutic modalities I felt could most support creating a healing impact in our community. The more I learned about trauma, my clients, and the needs of our communities, the more I settled on training in EMDR therapy. I began training in EMDR in November 2014, and immediately began integrating EMDR into my work with toddler clients through late adolescence. I completed the 10 consultation hours required to complete EMDR Basic Training in 2015. In 2016, I found my work begin to shift as I volunteered with postpartum parents in my new home of Seattle, WA. This led to my specialization of supporting Birthing Parents, and using EMDR to work with reproductive trauma. My philosophy is that when a Mother, Birthing Person, or really anyone is treated with dignity, respect, and given reverence for their deep internal wisdom and room to heal - they will recover. I am here to accompany potential clients on that journey.
