About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey who focuses on collaborating with clients who are seeking to make a change in their lives. The therapeutic relationship is the starting point for this change process to begin. I provide an effective balance of encouragement, compassion, safety, and empowerment to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. I am keenly aware of the present-day stressors clients are facing trying to meet their family’s needs and juggling it with employers’ ever-increasing productivity requirements that is leading to burnout. Together we can work towards developing coping strategies that build resilience to manage these challenges. I am also a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor providing counseling to clients and their families who struggle with addictions in their lives. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist who works with clients who struggle with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, work-related stressors, bullying, grief, rape, sexual abuse, dissociative disorders, mood disorders, OCD, personality disorders, etc. I work with adults and adolescents providing individual, couples and family counseling. Having a therapeutic network of colleagues including clinicians and prescribers is an important part of meeting clients’ needs and I have established this throughout my years in practice to be able to provide referrals as necessary. I use EMDR trauma-focused, Internal Family Systems, CBT, insight-oriented, short-term problem resolution and other therapies. Much of my clinical focus is on meeting clients where they are currently, and treatment approaches are based on their need. I support the US military service members and their families through their EAP providing counseling to meet their life transitions. Another area of specialty is providing counseling to the LGBTQI community and assisting in their journey to become more congruent with the person they were meant to be.

Education & Experience

I obtained a M.Ed. from the University of Maryland and have worked in corporate, non-profit and private practice settings. As a clinician, I have worked in the field for over 27 years and specialize in trauma-focused treatment using EMDR, IFS, CBT, insight-oriented and short-term problem resolution therapies. I am licensed as a Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in NJ and work with individuals who are struggling with addiction in their lives. I offer in-person and virtual counseling.
