About Me
I’m a Registered Social Worker and EMDR-trained psychotherapist who believes that people can heal from experiences that have shaped how they see themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative, with a focus on helping clients feel safer, more grounded, and more in control of their lives.
I work primarily with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, grief, chronic pain, and the challenges that can come with getting older. I’m particularly interested in supporting women through periods of significant change—when the life they expected and the life they are actually living no longer quite match.
My work draws from EMDR, CBT, ACT, mindfulness, self-compassion, and nervous-system-informed approaches. I don’t believe therapy should be about simply learning to tolerate a life that isn’t working. I want to help people understand what is happening, loosen the grip of the past, and move toward a life that feels more like their own.
Education & Experience
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in Ontario, with specialized training in EMDR therapy. My additional training includes CBT for anxiety, chronic pain and insomnia through McMaster University, as well as ACT, mindfulness, self-compassion, and grief therapy.
My clinical experience includes working with adults affected by trauma, intimate partner violence, anxiety, grief, chronic pain, insomnia, and major life transitions. I have worked in Victim Services, community and long-term-care settings, and private practice.
