About Me

I specialize in body and brain-based counseling for adults, and I work with Complex PTSD, PTSD, eating disorders, trauma, and sexual abuse and assault survivors. Sessions with me look and feel different than traditional talk therapy. The focus is on the body and brain processing trauma. In session, I utilize EMDR, Brainspotting, and Somatic Trauma Therapy with psychotherapeutic yoga (no flexibility required). Education & Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Colorado, and a Clinical Professional Counselor in Nevada. My training includes: EMDR (basic training), EMDR and Ego States, Attachment Based EMDR, CPTSD and EMDR, Somatic Integration and Processing, and EMDR with Eating Disorders, Brainspotting, Somatic Trauma Therapy, and psychotherapeutic yoga. I am also certified in DBT and a Registered Yoga Teacher (E- RYT-200). My formal training began with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology at the University of Texas at El Paso (2004), and I went on to get a Master of Education in School Counseling in 2007. I followed this up with post graduate coursework in psychology, marriage and family therapy, and assessment. Currently, I am completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am licensed in Colorado, Nevada, and Texas. I work with adult survivors of abuse, neglect, and abandonment, Complex PTSD, PTSD, and sexual trauma survivors.
