Counseling is my passion.
Education & Experience
Received both Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. I received my state license in 2001 and am also a board approved supervisor. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, grief, trauma, adjustment, divorce, and behavioral problems. I was an approved Cognitive Behavior Therapist via the Beck Institute while employed at Texas Panhandle Centers in Amarillo, Texas. I completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and am working towards certification. I am working on completing consultation hours in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing as part of the certification process. I am also an approved as a Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
