About Me

I’m originally from Monroe, LA and earned both of my degrees from Louisiana Tech. My husband and I have been blessed to have been able to experience living in different parts of the country since 2018 but always knew we’d come back home to Louisiana one day. We moved back to The Boot and landed here in Lafayette in June 2023 and have loved it. My little family is so sweet to me, so when I’m not seeing clients I’m usually spending time with my husband and our dog, George. In my free time I’m usually at a CrossFit gym, reading, cooking, or traveling to visit our family and friends!

Education & Experience

I received both my Bachelors of Science in Family and Child Studies as well as my Masters of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University. During both of my degree programs I was able to participate in several practicums and internships which included working with a children's ministry, assisting with high school guidance counseling, leading guidance programs as well as group counseling sessions at an elementary school, and providing individual and group counseling at a residential psychiatric facility for teens struggling with behavioral issues and trauma. After graduating and receiving my provisional license I worked at a community mental health center where I was exposed to a number of different mental health issues across several different populations while navigating the in's and out's of community mental health. After receiving my license I was able to move into a private practice setting and now primarily work with issues such as anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and trauma. I enjoy focusing on the interpersonal world of my clients and how their issues may affect their relationships with themselves and others. I typically approach therapy eclectically and use different frameworks as they fit each of my clients. But if I had to nail it down, I would say that I primarily work out of the frameworks of CBT, DBT, and utilize some ERP concepts. I am looking forward to integrating EMDR into my practice.
