About Me
Every day I have the honor to bear witness to people’s triumphs and struggles through my work as a psychotherapist. My interest in perinatal work originated when I began my graduate internship on a women’s health floor at a metro hospital. There I supported parents experiencing expected and unexpected outcomes including extended hospitalizations. As I started my own family, I felt the call to continue this work deepen. I transitioned to another area hospital and provided support to families who had admissions to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Education & Experience
I have a Master of Social Work degree from the University of St Thomas. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and working towards EMDR certification. I am certified in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a board member for Pregnancy and Postpartum Support Minnesota which is the state chapter for Postpartum Support International.
