About Me
Marie Celano is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University. Her education provided an integrated approach preparing Marie to address both the psychological and spiritual needs of individuals, families, and organizations. She has worked with children, at-risk youth, adults and couples. While working at Job Corps, Ft. Meade, Baltimore County Schools, and the Samaritan Women, she has interacted with many victims of abuse and trauma. Her work in the church has equipped her to work with specific challenges that Christians face. Marie’s experiences have led her to obtain further training in Trauma in order to help bring healing and life transformation. Additional trainings include: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, and a Certificate in Narrative Focused Trauma Care from the Allender Center. Marie is a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist from the Association of Partner Specialists and Trauma Therapists (APSAT’S) that has equipped her to work with Betrayed Partners. She is a Board Approved Supervisor in Maryland and leads individual and group consultations on the topic of Trauma.
