About Me

Marilea Moore, MSW, LCSW, is an EMDR Certified Therapist and owner of From the Ashes Counseling, PLLC in Wilmington, North Carolina. She specializes in trauma, perinatal and maternal mental health, grief and loss, and the complex transitions that can reshape a person’s sense of self, safety, and connection. Marilea works with adults navigating experiences such as birth trauma, pregnancy and infant loss, difficult family-of-origin experiences, relational trauma, anxiety, and major life transitions. Her approach integrates EMDR therapy with sandtray therapy, somatic and nervous-system-informed practices, and a compassionate, individualized understanding of each client’s story. She is especially passionate about helping clients move beyond simply coping with what happened to them and toward greater connection, self-trust, and a renewed sense of possibility.
