About Me
Are you someone who is looking to feel heard and understood from someone who really gets it? Maybe you’ve been feeling the impact of trauma, especially childhood wounds, but don’t know what to do to start healing? Or maybe you’re overwhelmed with intrusive thoughts and can’t stop them, no matter how many times you seek reassurance?
You’re in the right place! I’m Marissa, the owner of Peaceful Pines Counseling & Wellness. As a survivor of childhood trauma and a queer, neurodivergent individual, I offer a space where our shared experiences can foster genuine connection and growth. My practice is a space where you don’t have to filter yourself (cussing is encouraged!) and where you can talk about anything and everything.
Therapy with me is like connecting with a supportive, non-judgmental friend who has the knowledge and training to back up the advice given and questions asked. I am a down-to-earth, compassionate therapist, meaning no psychobabble or cold, clinical vibes - just real conversation that helps you explore your deeper world and understand yourself better.
