Education & Experience
I have a dual license as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP). I obtained my B.A. in Psychology at the University of Tennessee and obtained my M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Capella University. I completed my Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology. I have been working in the mental health field for approximately 15years, with experience in residential, inpatient, and outpatient facilities providing expertise to children, adolescents and adults. I have a significant knowledge base that extends to addiction, trauma, and mental health disorders of all levels. My extensive training consists of CBT, TF-CBT, insight therapy, motivational interviewing, Anthetic Therapy, as well as countless other theories. I am currently trained and am applying for certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, as well as, being certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy and EGALA.
