About Me
I strive to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to explore what may be at the root of a client's distress. I help with a range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or chronic pain/illness. Much of my work focuses on trauma, single events or complex, childhood, or occurring repeatedly over longer periods of time. I work with folks from a variety of backgrounds differing in culture, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion or economic status. I approach our collaboration as one where all aspects of a client are warmly welcomed and respected.
Education & Experience
I have worked in community mental health settings, for rape crisis centers, in higher education institutions and now in private practice. I received a MSW from Washington University in St. Louis, MA in Journalism from University of Texas, Austin and BS in Sociology from Cornell University.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am also IFS Level 1 trained.
