About Me
I am a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey and operate a private practice in Montclair. As a certified EMDR therapist and Somatic Experiencing practitioner, I enjoy integrating these two approaches within an EMDR framework to assist my clients effectively. Currently, I am training as a consultant under the mentorship of Deany Laliotis. I have a strong background in Minuchin structural family therapy and complex trauma. I thoroughly enjoy working with a diverse range of ethnicities in my practice. Currently, I am a consultant in training at The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy, where I provide 15 hours of training for therapists seeking EMDR certification. Over the years, I have seen the significant benefits that EMDR therapy brings to my clients, and I am enthusiastic about supporting aspiring EMDR therapists in helping their clients progress in their lives through this powerful treatment approach.
Education & Experience
I earned my degree from Fordham University in Manhattan. Shortly thereafter I developed a foundation in social work through my experience with families and adolescents, as well as offering guidance to parents. My earlier roles prompted me to explore EMDR therapy as a means to assist clients who felt trapped in their traumatic situations. This approach ultimately directed me towards specializing in trauma therapy for both adolescents and adults of varying ages.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
My professional affiliations include: NASW , EMDRIA and Somatic Experience International . I volunteer for two local organizations that provides support for immigrant communities.
