About Me

I am a Clinical Psychologist and reiki practitioner, and former nurse. Having grown up in a multi-cultural society in my country of origin, Singapore, I believe in working with each individual's cultural/ ethnic/ community background, morals and values. Apart from these outward biographical facts of my life which comprise my social identity, perhaps the most important thing to know about me is that I am an avid lover of spirituality, transcendence and the journey of ascension. That includes undergoing the deepest shadow work myself. Should we have the opportunity to briefly journey together, my hope is that you would find this journey to be filled with compassion and that our time together would bring you to a space where you are able to find meaning, resolution and personal empowerment. My approach is integrative and person-centered, with a strong focus on humanistic and schema orientations, along with the incorporation of EMDR and mindfulness-based (mind-body-spirit connection) approaches. I strongly believe that each person is unique and deserves to be treated holistically. Therefore, I come to you from the foundation of marrying psychology with spirituality/ energetic pathways and opening the therapeutic space to other suitable therapies should this be brought to our awareness in session. This explains why I am purposefully based in a space that has been created mindfully and lovingly to provide a healing environment. Personally, I have a special interest in grief and loss, and end-of-life issues across the human lifespan, including death and dying, grief, negotiating losses, psychological impact of chronic life-limiting illnesses, and bereavement. I also have a special place in my heart for journeying with individuals who have experienced or who are experiencing trauma, new migrant adjustment difficulties, life transitions, peri-natal mental health challenges (particularly birth trauma and losses), and family-of-origin issues. I don't believe in discriminatory practices. I am also a board-approved clinical supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and am more than happy to provide supervision for those going through the Clinical Registrar Program. In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, meditation, pilates, and spending time around animals and in nature (especially swimming in lakes, rivers and waterfalls!). At this juncture in my life, I am adopted by two beautiful rescued cats who have journeyed with me through various transitions, and who remind me daily about the beauty of unconditional love and unconditional regard. I see clients from the age of 18 years old and above. Please note that I do not see children, and I do not bulk-bill. Please also note that I no longer see new clients funded by Workcover, DVA and other external funding agencies.
