Megan Hinman, LPC

EMDRIA Certified Therapist™

Online Therapy

About Me

I'm Megan Hinman, a Licensed Professional Counselor and EMDR-trained therapist. My work centers on trauma — including PTSD, complex trauma, and early developmental trauma — alongside anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, and life transitions. I use EMDR alongside other evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and attachment-based therapy, tailored to what each client actually needs.

My approach is honest and compassionate, balancing acceptance with accountability — we identify what's keeping you stuck, process what continues to affect your life, and build practical skills toward greater freedom and confidence. I also offer faith integration for clients who want it.

Education & Experience

Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and faith integration training, Liberty University
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Minor in Family & Consumer Science), Central Washington University
EMDR trained through EMDRIA; currently pursuing EMDRIA Certified Therapist status

My clinical experience includes work with a Mental Health Accountability Court, providing counseling to individuals incarcerated primarily due to issues that could be addressed through mental health support, with a focus on reducing recidivism and strengthening community reintegration. I have also worked in private practice, serving a wide range of clients across ages, backgrounds, and presenting concerns. I am licensed as a Professional Counselor in both Georgia and Idaho, and now also practice through my own telehealth-based private practice, Glad Tidings Therapy, serving clients in Idaho.
