About Me
This wasn't how it was supposed to go. You're worried you will feel this way forever, that you will never feel like yourself again. Maybe you’re reading this because your parenting experience is not what you expected it to be, in fact, it’s probably been pretty awful so far. Perhaps you’ve experienced child, infant, or pregnancy loss and there are really no words to describe the void you feel right now. The loss is inexpressible and you feel so alone. Or you’re struggling to cope with chronic illness, grief, or life stressors. You feel like you’re hiking through a forest without a map... you just want to find a path forward. You don’t expect things to be perfect, but you need balance back in your life. You know things are different, that there will be a new normal. You’re ok with that, you just want to get there. In therapy I come along side you, we make sense of it all, then we forge that path forward. You are resilient and will feel confident in navigating the new normal!
Education & Experience
Prior to private practice, I was a medical social worker in the Sacramento region for eight years. I worked in multiple healthcare systems including Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento, UC Davis Medical Center, and Yolo Hospice. Through that work, I had the opportunity to support patients, parents, and families coping with the life altering health stressors including diagnosis of chronic and life-threatening medical condition of their own or their child. I also supported individuals and families coping with sudden or traumatic losses. I also companioned many patients through adjusting to and learning to live with illness.
