Hello, I am the owner of Morning Joy Counseling, LLC, where I started as a solo practitioner. Not long after, my passion for helping others motivated me to bring on additional clinicians to meet the needs of our clients. Together we further the mission of promoting growth and restoration and help people live successful and well-balanced lives. I have over 16 years in the field and my specialties in working with individual adults include anxiety and stress counseling. I believe in utilizing evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR and mindfulness to help reach the desired goals of living a successful life. I also provide couples, marriage, and premarital counseling as a SYMBIS certified facilitator and a Gottman level 2 trained therapist. While it’s important to recognize that counseling therapy can take many forms, I fully believe in utilizing approaches that fit your individual needs. I strive to create a safe, nurturing, confidential relationship and will walk alongside you toward a successful and well-balanced life. Just as I am passionate about my practice, I help my community at large by offering workshops, trainings, and mentorship. I want to utilize my platform to promote healing and bring to light the importance of wellness in our mind, body, and spirit.
Education & Experience
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor who attained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2002 from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling in 2005 from Argosy University.
