About Me
Melissa Londry is a licensed professional counselor with advanced certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Additionally, Melissa is a trained in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and has a partnership with Journey Clinical and their medical team to offer cutting-edge therapeutic options.
Education & Experience
Licensed by Virginia's Board of Counseling since 2015, Melissa earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Radford University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Saginaw Valley State University. Melissa’s passion for helping trauma survivors and creating safer, abuse-free communities began during her internship at the Women’s Resource Center in Radford from 2007 to 2008. Afterward, she joined Mount Rogers Community Services, where she held a variety of roles from 2008 to 2021, including crisis counselor, outpatient counselor, therapeutic day treatment counselor, intensive in-home counselor, Rapid Access intake counselor, Counseling Program Manager, and Comprehensive Family Programs Director. In 2021, Melissa established her private practice as a solo provider, driven by a vision to deliver personalized and effective mental health services. Her practice has since grown into a thriving group practice, where she leads a team of skilled therapists and staff. An approved supervisor by the Virginia Board of Counseling, Melissa provides clinical supervision to Residents in Counseling, Qualified Mental Health Professionals, and Peer Recovery Specialists. She has also supervised numerous internships for bachelor’s and master’s degree students, supporting the next generation of mental health professionals. Throughout her career, Melissa has worked with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults, addressing issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction. Her person-centered approach empowers clients to take charge of their recovery through tailored, evidence-based treatment options. She remains deeply committed to enhancing mental health services in Southwest Virginia by fostering a team of empathetic and skilled professionals who positively impact their communities.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
Member of American Counseling Association (ACA) and Virginia Counselor's Association (VCA) Outside of her professional endeavors, Melissa is an avid runner and a certified Lydiard Level II Running Coach. She has completed races ranging from 5Ks to 240-mile ultramarathons, as well as 200-mile relays. The endurance and resilience she has cultivated through running inspire her work with clients and reinforce her dedication to health and well-being.
