About Me

Dr. Melissa Tuomi is a San Diego based psychologist who has been in practice for more than ten years. She specializes in treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and working with young adults. She received her BA in Psychology and Social Behavior from University of California, Irvine where she graduated magna cum laude. She received her doctorate in psychology from Alliant International University with a focus in clinical psychology. She is trained in EMDR, CPT, as well as other highly effective therapy approaches. Her style is warm, collaborative, and highly focused on supporting individuals to meet their goals. She had practiced in various settings from university college counseling, hospitals, and non-profit clinics.
