About Me
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, with over 20 years of experience in the fields of mental health, child welfare, and social services. I have specialized experience in working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety and trauma related symptoms. In particular, I enjoy working with and helping people who are healing from domestic violence, childhood abuse, attachment related concerns and trauma, including family of origin related concerns, as well as other significant life stressors or changes. I take a person centered and trauma informed approach to therapy. I meet people where they are at, recognizing that people are experts on their own lives, and develop a plan for therapy in collaboration with them, that reflects their individual goals and values. I am trained in, and practice ACT, CBT, TF-CBT, and EMDR therapies. Therapy should allow for a person to feel comfortable and safe to be their authentic self. I work hard to provide a non-judgmental and compassionate space for people to show up as they are, to work through the hard parts of life, and to work toward goals that are meaningful and important to them.
