About Me
I specialize in helping adults recover from trauma, PTSD, occupational stress injuries, anxiety, and other experiences that continue to affect their daily lives and relationships. Using EMDR therapy within a compassionate and collaborative approach, I help clients work through distressing experiences so they no longer feel defined by them.
Creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and accepted is the foundation of my work. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, allowing clients to explore difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable.
I work with adults experiencing the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, occupational stress injuries, and major life transitions. As an EMDR therapist, I integrate EMDR with other evidence-based approaches to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move toward lasting change.
Whether you are recovering from a single traumatic event or navigating the effects of long-term stress or adversity, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, resilient, and confident in moving forward.
Education & Experience
I hold a Master of Counselling degree and have been providing clinical counselling since 2011, beginning with my graduate practicum and continuing in private practice since 2013. I completed EMDR Basic Training through an EMDRIA-approved program in 2016 and continue to pursue ongoing education in EMDR, trauma treatment, and evidence-based approaches to psychotherapy. I have been a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia since 2016.
My clinical experience includes working with adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, acute stress, occupational stress injuries, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions. In addition to EMDR, I integrate the Flash Technique and other evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions when clinically appropriate. Treatment is always tailored to each client's individual goals, strengths, and readiness for change.
I have experience supporting clients referred through WorkSafeBC and understand the unique challenges that can accompany workplace injuries, psychological trauma, and the return-to-work process. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative therapeutic environment where clients can process difficult experiences, reduce distress, and move toward meaningful recovery.
