Mia Turner is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, holding a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, with a Concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA.
Mia has advanced clinical training and certification as a Neuropsychotherapist.
Mia is fully trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy.
Mia is a fully trained Psychedelic Assisted Therapy and Ketamine Assisted Therapy Provider. Mia completed training with Alchemy, Journey Clinical, and Fluence.
Mia is trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
Her professional experience in the field includes working with community mental health agencies, non-profit foundations, and educational and research institutions. In addition to providing psychotherapy, Mia is a certified RYT-200 Yoga instructor, Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, Certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist (CMNCS), and Certified Mindfulness-Informed Professional (CMIP). She provides coaching, consultation, trainings, professional development mentorship and supervision for pre-licensed clinicians. Her experience also includes organizing community healing offerings, guest-speaking for mental health events and podcasts, and facilitating mindfulness, somatic, yoga, trauma skills, HipHop- narrative therapy, and parent-education groups, and she was a previous stakeholder for the African American Steering Committee for Health and Wellness (AASCHW) for Alameda County, California from 2020-2022.
