Education & Experience

I graduated with a Master's in Social Work in 2007 from VCU. Post graduate school I worked toward the necessary requirements in obtaining Licensure to practice clinical social work. I obtained my License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in 2010. I have been practicing in the state of Virginia since that time. I have experience in working with all populations in treating mental health struggles. I have experience in working with populations or were incarcerated, under probation, experiencing substance use related challenges, and significant mental health struggles. I had worked in community mental health programs for about 14 years then moved to working in a private practice setting for the past 3 years. I have most recently been trained in EMDR therapy and practice regularly with all clients. My focus is supporting individuals be on the road to recovery in their own way and have the support they need to work through past trauma or other adverse experiences.
