About Me

I have 19 years of experience providing clinical support to children, youth, adults, and families. I started my social work career supporting women and children who experienced domestic violence. I then transitioned into child protection services. From there, I spent many years working with children, youth, adults, and families in various settings such as individual and family therapy, youth criminal justice, community mental health, trauma treatment, and as a school social worker. These experiences made me realize my passion for supporting survivors of trauma especially those who have been impacted by sexual abuse. Along with my private practice, I also offer my services to the Halton Region Victim Quick Response Program.

Education & Experience

I am a registered Social Worker with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). I received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (Formally Ryerson) in 2003 and completed my Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto in 2004.

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

My areas of expertise are in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and EMDR.
