About Me
Hi, and thanks for taking a few minutes to learn a little more about me. I want to start by sharing a few of my therapeutic values. I find joy in helping people become the best version of themselves. Things that are really important to me in therapy is demonstrating acceptance, conveying hope, creating partnership and honoring the client's autonomy. I try to understand what the client is experiencing, and through EMDR help him/her find their way through their suffering. I enjoy yoga, bike riding, spending time with friends and family, tasting new food, and being in the outdoors. Nothing brings me more joy that a nice hike in the mountains, or feeling the sun warming my face.
Education & Experience
I earned my MSW from the University of Utah in 2002. Early in my career, I worked with adolescents in residential treatment settings. For the past 13 years, I have offered individual, group, and couples psychotherapy to veterans and their families. I have experience working with complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Additionally, I have in-depth knowledge in how to treat people who have experienced childhood and/or adult sexual trauma. Recently, I started Kintsugi Consulting and Counseling, LLC, where I offer EMDR to community members. I look forward to working with you in your healing journey.
