Dr. Mona William-Hayes, PhD, LCSW
(she/her)
Preferred Name: Mona
About Me
My approach is solution-focused, client-centered, and strengths-based. I have extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), CBT, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have experience and training in grief and provide in-home sessions, traditional office visits, walk & talk therapy and telehealth. I believe in the importance of connectedness. Connection in therapy is critical! Connection, to me, means sitting with you in joy or sorrow and listening to your story with my eyes, ears, and heart. I would love to hear from you and have a heart-to-heart connection. I have availability now! If you want to make a change or feel better, we can start this week.
Education & Experience
My BA is from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee and my MSSW and PhD are from The University of Tennessee. I have 20 years' experience working with trauma.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
NASW and EMDRIA member. I volunteer at Ebenezer UMC in Knoxville, TN, and deliver food through the Love Kitchen. I have served food through the Water Angels and host overnight at Ebenezer families with Family Promise.
