About Me
I am a bilingual professional counselor with more than 15 years of experience and independently licensed in the state of Oregon, as well as the District of Columbia and Maryland. I provide EMDR therapy to adult clients who have experienced adversity in a variety of forms in their lives, from early attachment issues with parental figures or abuse from other significant people to assaults perpetrated by strangers and from a single traumatic event to repetitive and complex trauma. As a primary EMDR clinician, I believe that trauma lives in parts of our brain that are difficult to access only by talk therapy and, therefore, a bodily-aware modality can help the processing in a deeper level.
Education & Experience
I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology as well as a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in my birth country, Chile. I earned my second master’s degree, this time in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, at the George Washington University in DC.
