Natalia Derina, LCSW
(She/Her)
About Me
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine curiosity about each person’s experience. I believe meaningful change comes not only from reducing symptoms, but from developing a deeper understanding of ourselves and the patterns that shape how we relate to our emotions, experiences, and relationships.
I work integratively, drawing from EMDR and other evidence-based approaches while adapting therapy to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. I aim to create a space where clients feel both supported and thoughtfully challenged as we make sense of what keeps them stuck, process difficult experiences, and develop greater flexibility, self-trust, and connection in their lives.
Education & Experience
I earned my Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hunter College and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have experience working with adults and adolescents across outpatient psychotherapy and residential settings. My clinical experience includes working with anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, relationship difficulties, and a range of emotional and behavioral concerns. I have completed EMDR basic training and consultation and integrate EMDR with approaches including CBT, ACT, ERP, and relational/psychodynamic therapy.
