About Me

I am unique in practice given my areas of specialty in working with individuals with severe trauma, behavioral health needs, and children with behavioral health disorders. My practice perspective is also supported by narrative therapy with a cultural lens due to my early background as an anthropologist and personal cultural background of being Latina. My style is one of openness, warmth, compassion, non-judgment, holistic and humor. I focus on each client's needs and provide support that is individualized. My hope for my clients is to help them process their past, present and hope for their future while allowing me to be on the therapeutic journey with them. I frequently tell my clients, they are driving the car and I am a passenger and together deciding which road to take and why. I am a board certified-telemental health provider and provide therapy remotely via telephone and video. I am trained in behavioral modification, motivational interviewing, art interventions, EMDR certified, and Gottman Therapy (Level 2).
