About Me

I'm Nicole Herway, LCSW, a licensed therapist and PhD candidate in the Salt Lake City/Sandy, Utah area with 15 years of clinical experience. My work centers on trauma, especially the kind that shows up in our closest relationships: divorce, family rupture, and the aftermath of conflict or betrayal. I use EMDR to help clients process what happened to them, not just understand it, so the past stops running the present. I also draw on Gottman Method and systemic family therapy to address the relational patterns that trauma often leaves behind. I work with a range of trauma presentations, including traumatic incidents, first responders, religious transitions and religious trauma, depression, anxiety, and abuse. Whether you're healing from a specific event or the slow erosion of trust in a relationship, my goal is to help you feel steady in yourself again.
