Nina Yashin, MSW, LCSW
About Me
My name is Nina Yashin, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a yoga instructor RYT-200 with specific training on addiction and trauma informed practice. Im located in Bryn Mawr PA, on the Main Line right outside of Philadelphia, PA. I get immense satisfaction from, and take pride in, working with individuals who are seeking to improve their lives. I believe that honesty and transparency with my clients not only creates trust, but also allows them to make informed and multidimensional decisions about changing aspects of their lives that may be holding them back. A Certified EMDR and trauma therapist, I specialize in treating individuals with addiction, those who have sustained trauma, whether complex or single incident, family dysfunction, mood disorders, and major life changes-including illness and loss. I am also well versed in working with people of different cultures, the immigrant experience, and how that may impact my clients and shape identities. I utilize EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Yoga Therapy, as well as traditional talk therapy. I can help you learn or strengthen skills such as interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, and distress tolerance. We will focus on the solution, and develop a plan to create meaningful and lasting change in your life. As a first generation immigrant, a mother, and someone with a profound appreciation for sobriety, I know how difficult life can get. I also know that life presents us with opportunities for change and growth beyond what we think possible. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s Degree in Social Work with emphasis on addiction and trauma treatment. My undergraduate degree was obtained from New York University in Social Work and Psychology with a focus on neuroscience and addiction. I speak English, Russian, Spanish, and French.
