Ms. Olivia Lavelle, LCSW
About Me
Hi there, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR Therapist specializing in trauma, attachment wounds, and anxiety. Most of the women who work with me are high-functioning and self-aware... they’ve done therapy before, they understand their patterns, but they’re tired of still feeling triggered or on edge. Clients often tell me they feel deeply understood in our work. I listen carefully. I validate what makes sense. I bring knowledge and clinical depth, but also warmth and the right amount of humor when it helps you breathe again. My style is grounded and intentional. I don’t rush trauma work, and I don’t push vulnerability. I help you feel safe enough to process what your body has been holding, so relief isn’t something you have to constantly manage.
Education & Experience
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have worked across community mental health, school-based settings, and private practice. Over the years, I’ve supported children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, attachment wounds, and complex relational patterns.
I am EMDR certified and have advanced training in trauma processing and attachment-focused work. My clinical experience has shown me that many high-functioning women carry unresolved trauma that doesn’t always look dramatic, but lives in their nervous system and relationships. That’s why I offer both weekly therapy and EMDR therapy intensives for deeper, focused work. My background allows me to bring both clinical depth and real-world understanding into the therapy room, while keeping the work structured, steady, and respectful of your pace.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a member of the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and I maintain active licensure through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
I remain engaged in ongoing consultation and advanced trauma training to ensure the work I offer is ethical, current, and clinically sound.
