Paris Goodyear-Brown, LCSW, RPT-S has 23 years of experience in treating traumatized and attachment disturbed children and families. She is the Clinical Director of Nurture House, the creator of Trauma Play as an Adjunct Instructor of Psychiatric Mental Health at Vanderbilt University and a sought after speaker. With engagements in Singapore, Ireland, Nepal, and Turkey, Paris trains therapists, teachers, and parents of vulnerable children around the globe and is best known for her dynamic presentations. She has developed clinically sound, played-based intervention models that are used to treat a variety of childhood problems and provides supervision and consultation to individuals, groups, and organizations. She has received the APT award for Play Therapy Promotion and Education, recently completed a TedxTalk on Trauma and Play Therapy and is the author of multiple books, chapters and articles. She gives workshops on integrating play therapy and EMDR for traumatized children.
