About Me

Paul Krauss MA LPC is the Clinical Director of Health for Life Counseling in Grand Rapids, home of The Trauma-Informed Counseling Center of Grand Rapids. Paul is also a Private Practice Psychotherapist, an Approved EMDRIA Consultant and EMDRIA Certified Clinician, host of the Intentional Clinician podcast, Behavioral Health Consultant, Clinical Trainer, and Counseling Supervisor. Paul is now offering consulting for a few individuals and organizations. Paul is the creator of the National Violence Prevention Hotline (in progress) as well as the Intentional Clinician Training Program for Counselors. -Paul’s mission is to provide accessible and authentic resources for people. Some examples of this: -Creating the Trauma-Informed Counseling Center of Grand Rapids to help educate the public on trauma and the effects of Trauma and provide excellent clinical services to the community. Hosting an annual conference on Trauma-Informed Care. Created hundreds of pages online to read regarding the topic, in addition to an active blog about various health topics. -Podcast (The Intentional Clinician) as a free resource for people covering the topics of Psychology, Philosophy, Self-Help, and Music. -The National Violence Prevention Hotline (in Progress) Paul has expertise in general mental health counseling, trauma-informed counseling, family counseling, male issues, substance abuse, career counseling, and general life consultations. He is a veteran counselor; throughout his career he has worked with diverse cultural groups and with individuals across the socioeconomic spectrum. He has specialized training in helping individuals and families overcome the effects of trauma--He is EMDRIA Certified.
